Embedded Microcontroller Systems
Course Guidelines

This course will be taught in a studio format, where lectures will be integrated with exercises involving the 8051 development systems.

Attendance is critical for this course. If you must miss class, you must tell me ahead of time in order to be able to make up the work.

Out of class assignments will be made approximately weekly.

There will be either quizzes or lab reports each week. There will be a project in the last few weeks of the course.

Masters student taking this course as CS/EE-552 will be required to do an additional advanced project, due the last day of classes. The project will be averaged in the exams portion of the grade.

Your grade will be calculated using the following weights:

• Exams: 60%
• Quizzes and Labs: 15%
• Assignments: 15%
• Project: 10%
