The success of the 1998 Union College Robot Camp was largely due to all the hard work of the camp staff.
Cregg
Brown - Camp leader - CSE '2000
Cregg did so much for the camp it is hard to list everything. The Robot
Camp manual, mailings, part selection, room preparation.... he did it all!
His skills and experience were greatly appreciated. :)
Pat Clas - CSE
'2000
Pat's camp experience was very helpful in planning the schedule for
the camp. He also provided a lot of comic relief during the robot-building
marathon on Sunday. :)
Konstantinos
Sikamiosis - CSE '2000
Kostas took the lead in designing the final competition. As the photo
shows, he sometimes found this chore a bit frustrating. :)
Rob
Hoppenfeld - CSE '2000
Rob was our programming instructor on Monday and Tuesday. He also preached
about cold solder joints and generally showed off his computer knowledge
to anyone who would listen. :)
Socrates
Castillo - CSE '1998
Socrates is another veteran of the Robot Club who brought a lot of
knowledge to the group. Soc helped Kostas design the competition and in
this photo shows off the robot that the staff constructed on Sunday.
Professor
Traver - Associate Prof. of EE/CS
"Taskmaster" Traver advised the Robot Club students this year,
helped to organize the camp, and managed to have a good time doing it.
Other Union engineering students who worked behind the scenes but who were unable to attend include:
Julia Chan - CE '2000
David Oakley - CS '2000
